A warm welcome every morning
Our stay was enhanced by the charming atmosphere and exceptional staff at Old Weir Lodge. The cozy lounge became a favorite spot for evening drinks, where we chatted with other guests. Our mornings began with delightful breakfasts that featured everything from poached eggs to homemade scones, thanks to the friendly and attentive staff. They treated us like family, ensuring our stay was memorable. Additionally, the location allowed easy access to Killarney's attractions, making it a perfect base for our adventures.
However, the distance to the town center was a slight inconvenience, taking about a 10-minute walk, which may not suit everyone. Moreover, our room struggled a bit with temperature control. it got quite cold when the heat was turned off during cleaning. We had to adjust it sometimes at night, leading to a few chilly moments.

The rollercoaster I didn’t see coming
Friendly and helpful staff made our stay enjoyable with warm hospitality and great local recommendations. Breakfast was impressive, featuring a variety of delicious hot items and continental choices. You couldn't ask for a better start to the day.
Some noise disturbances during breakfast prep were noticeable, which took away from the cozy atmosphere. Additionally, there were inconsistencies in room cleanliness, with stained carpets detracting from the overall experience.

Had a fantastic time with friends! Enjoyed hiking the breathtaking MacGillycuddy Reeks and relaxed on a stroll through the National Park. The room was spacious and well-kept, and breakfast was outstanding. The staff was genuinely helpful with local tips and even made dinner reservations for us. Perfect location for exploring the area. Highly recommend it for a fun getaway!
One downside was that the breakfast options felt a bit limited compared to other places we've stayed at. It would have been nice to see a bit more variety.

During my stay, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making every guest feel like family. The breakfast spread was a highlight, featuring delicious homemade pastries and fresh fruit, setting a positive tone for the day. However, the room temperature was somewhat inconsistent, requiring adjustments throughout the night for comfort. A slight inconvenience was the distance to nearby attractions, making evening outings a bit longer than expected, even though it was manageable. Altogether, I appreciated the cozy atmosphere and kind-hearted service.
